SPY PARTY GAME · 3–12 PLAYERS · ONE PHONE Everyone knows the word. Except one.

Spyzy is the spy game for your table: one phone goes around, everyone gets a card — and one of you is the spy. The word is shown in several languages at once, so mixed groups play together.

MULTILINGUAL CARDS

One card. Every language at the table.

Playing with friends who speak different languages? Each player picks their own card language. Their language comes first, the others in play are listed underneath — so nobody gets lost and nobody is left out.

  • Ukrainian, Polish, English and German on one card
  • A card language for each player, not for the whole game
  • Great for international teams and language learners

HOW TO PLAY

Ready in 10 seconds. Arguing for hours.

Everyone except the spy knows the secret word. The agents hunt for the spy, the spy hunts for the word.

  1. 01

    Set up

3 to 12 players, a number of spies (or a random count — sometimes everyone is a spy), word sets and round time.

  2. 02

    Deal the cards

Pass the phone around. Press and hold to see your card and secret mission, let go to hide it.

  3. 03

    Question each other

The timer runs, the app shows who asks whom. Prove you know the word without giving it away.

  4. 04

    Vote or guess

Vote for suspects in secret — or the spy names the word at any moment and tries to win alone.

  5. 05

    Score and dossier

Points for wins and completed missions, standings across the evening and titles in the final dossier.

Full rules

1 Setup
  • 3 to 12 players share one phone.
  • Pick a number of spies or “Random count”: one is most likely, each extra spy half as likely — and once in a while everyone is a spy.
  • Choose one or more word sets and mission sets, and the round time.
  • Names, avatars and each player’s card language are optional.
2 Dealing cards
  • Pass the phone around. Each player holds a finger on the screen to see their card and lets go to hide it.
  • Agents see the word; the spy only sees that they are the spy.
  • Your secret mission is under the card.
  • Don’t like the word? “New word” deals everything again: a different word, roles and missions.
3 Questioning
  • The timer starts. The app shows who asks whom.
  • “Questions in turn”: whoever answered asks the next player. Off — random pairs.
  • Ask and answer so your team can tell you know the word, but the spy can’t work it out.
  • You can pause the round, and vote any time without waiting for the timer.
4 Voting
  • The phone goes around, everyone votes in secret.
  • You can mark several suspects, since the number of spies may be unknown. You can’t vote for yourself.
  • Spies are caught if everyone with the most votes is a spy. Agents win.
  • If an agent is on top, or tied with a spy, the spies escape and win.
  • If everyone was a spy, the round just reveals the word — nobody wins.
5 Spy names the word
  • Any time during the round, tap “Spy names the word”.
  • The player picks their name — everyone is listed, so it gives nothing away — and picks the word from up to 7 words of the topic.
  • Right word — only that spy wins. Wrong word — the agents win.
  • If a non-spy claims, the agents win right away.
6 Secret missions
  • Every player gets a mission, agents and spies alike — so having one doesn’t reveal the spy.
  • Missions don’t repeat while the set has enough of them.
  • Complete your mission unnoticed during the round.
  • After the round, read the missions aloud and tick the completed ones. An agent mission is worth +1 point, a spy mission +2.
7 Points and dossier
  • Win: every agent gets +1, every escaping spy +2. Spies are outnumbered, so their win is worth more.
  • If a spy named the word, only that spy gets +2.
  • Points for completed missions are added on top. The standings cover every round of the evening.
  • The “Evening dossier” awards titles: best spy (most escapes), detective (agent with most correct votes), most suspicious and mission master.

SECRET MISSIONS

Not just guessing the word.

Under every card there is a secret mission — for agents and spies alike, so a mission never gives the spy away. Pull it off unnoticed during the round and earn extra points.

  • Agent mission +1, spy mission +2
  • After the round the table reads them aloud and ticks the completed ones
  • Create your own mission sets for birthdays, team events or the office

EVENING DOSSIER

A top secret file of your evening.

At the end Spyzy puts together a dossier: rounds played, spies caught, missions completed and titles for the stars of the night. Share it in a story or the group chat — that’s probably how you got here.

  • Best spy, evening detective, most suspicious, mission master
  • Save it as a photo or share it in one tap
  • A QR code on the dossier brings your friends straight here

AND MORE

Small things that make the evening.

  • Random number of spies

Usually one, sometimes more — and once in a while everyone is a spy. Nobody knows for sure.

  • Same card for everyone

Word and spy cards look identical and are visible only while you hold — nobody is given away by the screen.

  • Games are saved

Phone died or someone called? Continue right where you stopped, timer included.

  • Players and avatars

Names in any language, colours, emoji or a photo. The line-up is remembered for next time.

  • Who asks whom

Questions in turn or random pairs — the app keeps the round moving.

  • New word in one tap

Didn’t like the word? Deal again with a different word, roles and missions.

FAQ

Questions agents ask

How many players do I need?

From 3 to 12. Everyone plays on one phone that goes around the table, so only one person needs the app.

Is Spyzy free?

Yes. No ads, no subscriptions, no sign-up.

Do I need an internet connection?

No. The game works fully offline — on a train, in the mountains or at a campfire.

Which languages are supported?

The interface and the cards are in Ukrainian, Polish, English and German. Each player chooses which language they see first on their card.

Can we add our own words?

Yes. Create your own word and mission sets in any of the languages, generate them with your AI chat for free, and share them with friends as a file.

Does Spyzy collect my data?

No. Names, photos and game history stay on your phone. There are no accounts, analytics or ads.

What are the rules of the spy game?

Everyone except the spy gets the same secret word; the spy only gets a spy card. Players take turns asking each other questions, then vote on who the spy is. The spy wins by escaping the vote or by naming the word. The detailed rules are on the Rules page.

Is Spyzy like Spyfall or the imposter word game?

Yes, it’s the same kind of game: someone at the table doesn’t know the secret word and has to bluff. Spyzy adds cards in several languages, secret missions and an evening dossier — free and with no ads.
